Competition ends: 09 July 2008

Dolby is well known for surround sound in the movies - it is rare to watch a film that doesn't start with a reference to Dolby. What you might not know is that the sense of sounds coming from all directions can be enjoyed on computers as well as in the cinema. Computeractive has teamed up with Dolby to offer one lucky winner an Acer Aspire 7720G notebook.

Worth £800, the Aspire 7720G is ideal for watching movies as well as surfing the internet and working on documents. It has built-in Dolby Home Theater Surround Sound and wireless networking for breaking away from the desk. Films are not restricted to the built-in monitor, as the HDMI socket can send high-definition video to a television.

The notebook also has both VGA and DVI sockets for attaching a second monitor and the S-Video connection can be used for a television. Both Firewire and USB sockets are available for connecting to external peripherals and there is a built-in memory card reader. There's also a built-in webcam for video calls.

The surround sound technology works with the built-in stereo speakers or with a surround sound speaker set.

It can even generate the sense of sounds coming from all directions when using a pair of headphones, which is ideal for enjoying films without disturbing anyone else.

For your chance to win this great computer, simply answer the question to the right before 9 July 2008.
