DJ Mixstation allows you to play the bedroom DJ – it takes an existing music collection (in MP3 form, for instance) and create seamless mixes just like a club or radio DJ.
True, that's a relatively niche pursuit, but for those who want to do it, this is a very impressive piece of software.

The program window shows two tracks as diagrams, with tone and speed controls for each. Using the buttons you can get the program to match the tracks either in terms of tone (pitch) or speed (tempo), enabling you to find the point at which they can be mixed seamlessly.
It takes a bit of fiddling, and using the mouse isn't as easy as using the X-Session's dedicated controller, but it can be picked up with a little practice, after which you'll be mixing away like nobody's business.
