MIS gains PCI QSA status

Security VAR claims it is the first top UK partner of Check Point, Juniper, Nokia and RSA to gain PCI Qualified Security Assessor status

MIS Corporate Defence Solutions has thumbed its nose at rival data security VARs after gaining a prized accreditation around the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

The VAR claims it is the first senior UK partner of Check Point, Juniper, Nokia and RSA to attain PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) status. The accreditation will give its customers assurances they are working with a supplier with expertise in the sector, MIS said.

PCI DSS is a set of standards that is mandatory for all organisations that process debit and credit card payments. It covers everything from making sure organisations build and maintain secure networks, to having a comprehensive information security policy in place to rigorously protect cardholder information, MIS explained.

“As the UK’s longest Security only focussed Security Solutions Provider, we are pleased to have been appointed as the UK’s first senior Security Solutions organisation” said Tracey Hannan Jones, product marketing manager for MIS.

“This allows us to further assist our existing customers to meet the ever growing regulatory mandates and pressures placed on them and to offer both an auditing and solutions service to new customers.”
