CeBIT 2006 Special Report

All the news, views and reviews from this year's extravaganza in Hanover

Written by Iain Thomson

Once again the information technology world gathers in Hanover for CeBIT, the world's largest IT show.

It's a chance for the industry to show off its latest stuff, discuss the issues and make some sales. It's also a good indicator of what's going to be hot for the rest of the year.

There are many contenders: Microsoft's Origami computer, mobile handsets that are little short of PCs and the latest gadgets and gizmos. Over half a million people will be looking, talking and hopefully buying.

Over the coming week we'll be reporting on the news both direct from the show floor and from an outside perspective, refining the best from the flood of new products, services and announcements from this monster show.
